Quieting the mind

I want to explore sex but life gets in the way. My schedule is tight. When I have time to relax I start thinking about things I need to do. Even when I'm having sex my mind gets distracted and I don't feel like I can enjoy myself. Is there hope?

American society trains us to be mind-centered. We are rewarded for figuring out problems and mulling things over that happened in the past and that might happen in the future. Our minds are beautiful things that help us advance together as a society, but we are more than just our minds.

You can choose to quiet your mind and set it aside so that you can live in the moment from your heart, your body and your energy. A quiet mind is an ideal climate for sexual creativity and exploration. First, use your mind to plan your schedule and set aside time when you won't be disturbed. When the day arrives, turn your mind off and allow your creativity to blossom. If a thought pops up, just let it go. It's OK. You already set aside the time - you don't have to think about anything!

Check out this excellent, free, 30-minute podcast called Quiet Your Busy Mind. It's by Heather Ash Amara of The Pixie Solution.

Quieting the mind, turning off your brain, is not easy but the rewards might be some of the juiciest experiences of your life!
